We have completed a video of our show and now you can own a
copy of it for only $29.95!
If you and your parrot were asked to
speak at an elementary school, public library, or other public event, what would you tell the children about parrots? On this video
you will see a professionally presented educational school program about parrots, complete with lots of interactive hands-on material included!
This 62 minute video includes
a complete start to stop version of one of our shows video taped at an elementary
school in May of 2000 in Washington State. We have added numerous visual enhancements
to the video to better stress various points made during the presentation, enhancement that normally
we cannot offer during a live show. The video also includes lots of great footage of our
birds in training, freeflying, and playing in their home environment.
Also
included is choice footage of us in action in the fair environment.
Especially valuable in this
video is the behavior of the birds as they interact with each other, the
trainers, and the public. We believe that this video shows a side of parrots not often
represented, that being how a well trained parrot is capable behaving both at
home and in public, thus giving people a high standard to work toward with their
own pets.
If you have ever wondered
what it would be like to have a large Macaw fly down and land on your arm, this
video is for you because you get just such an experience, or at least as close
as it gets without actually being there. Watch as both Janis (Green Winged
Macaw) and Cosmo (Blue & Gold Macaw) bail from a tree and come in for
landings, up close and personal, for final shots that completely fill the screen
with red or golden feathers!

"Chris
B., tonight (when I was supposed to be studying for midterms!), my son Michael
and I watched the pirate tape I ordered from you. How amazing you and your birds
are! I was impressed with the level of trust your parrots have in you. This was
vividly demonstrated as the macaws allowed you to toss them into the air on
their backs without a care. Seeing the macaws cuddled like babies by young
children and adults was inspiring. I also found it touching to witness how fond
your birds are of you. Their feelings for you shone through as they repeatedly
flew over to land on your shoulder or arm as you addressed the group of children
and then later crowd at the fair. Michael, who will be 17 next month, found it
impressive and fun as well. You put on a very professional show, Chris.
"It is an entertaining and educational video, and as soon as these
midterms are over, I will be watching it again with better concentration. It's
harder to bluff my way through grad. exams than it was during my undergrad
days! I really have to study for these...yuck! Suz"
